Cornish trio 3 Daft Monkeys released their brand new studio album, The Antiquated & The Arcane in the UK on 1st November 2010 through their own 3DM Records label. The Antiquated & The Arcane demonstrates a leap forward for the quirky folk trio in both production and sonics and features some of their most mature song-writing to date with catchy hooks and melodic choruses. Beautifully produced by the band and mixed by Richard Evans (Real World) the album was recorded in an authentic ‘live’ studio setting. The band play tracks from the new album in their live set along with favourites from previous albums Hubbadillia and Social Vertigo. With a line-up consisting of Fiddle (Athene), 12 String Guitar (Tim), Bass Guitar (Lukas) and Percussion (Richie), 3 Daft Monkeys weave world music influences around classic folk melodies The band will be playing a live session for Bob Harris’ BBC Radio 2 show on 01 April and their live diary for 2011 is already filling up fast.
