To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its original release in 1991, folk-punk band Levellers are performing Levelling The Land in its entirety, on a mammoth 15 date tour finishing at London’s Brixton Academy in March 2011 and at shows throughout the year in the UK and Europe. The era defining album features hits including One Way, Riverflow, The Game, Far From Home and Liberty Song. Levellers have been called a lot of things over their 23-year history. However, the closest thing to a consensus surrounding the seminal British folk-punk band is that their platinum-selling 1991 album Levelling The Land is an absolute classic. The band released their latest studio album ‘Letters from the Underground’ in 2008. Musically and lyrically the album conveys a passion, energy and conviction that shot the band to fame in their early years. ‘Letters from the Underground’ was recorded in the Levellers own Metway studios in Brighton and was released on their own label – On the Fiddle.
